Motorex Carbon Paste is a specialised assembly paste for the secure installation of carbon and aluminium bicycle components. Its unique fibre structure increases friction between contact surfaces without scratching delicate finishes, helping prevent components such as seatposts and handlebars from slipping under load.
By improving grip at the clamping interface, the paste can reduce the tightening torque required by up to 30%, helping protect lightweight carbon components against damage caused by excessive clamping force. It also provides effective protection against contact corrosion and makes components easier to remove during future servicing.
The transparent, particle-free formula is ideal for professional workshops and home mechanics assembling premium carbon or aluminium components.
Key Features
- Designed for carbon and aluminium bicycle components
- Increases friction to help prevent slipping and unwanted movement
- Can reduce the required clamping torque by up to 30%
- Unique fibre structure will not scratch component surfaces
- Protects against contact and galvanic corrosion
- Helps prevent creaking at suitable contact points
- Makes components easier to remove during servicing
- Transparent and free from abrasive solid particles
- Easy to apply
Recommended Applications
Ideal for suitable clamping and contact areas involving:
- Carbon or aluminium seatposts
- Handlebars
- Stems
- Frame contact points
- Other compatible carbon and aluminium components
Apply a thin, even layer to clean contact surfaces before assembly. Always observe the bicycle or component manufacturer’s instructions and specified torque limits. Carbon components can be damaged by excessive tightening.
