Built for aggressive trail and enduro riding, the Shimano Deore XT PD-M8220 SPD Pedals combine dependable clip-in performance with a supportive platform and increased grip. Their updated design provides greater stability between your shoes and pedals, helping you stay composed through rough descents, technical sections and hard impacts.
The wide contact area and grip pattern are based on Shimano’s flagship XTR PD-M9220 pedal. Integrated grip pins provide additional shoe support and help reduce slipping when you are temporarily unclipped—particularly useful when restarting on steep or technical terrain.
A robust sealing system helps protect the pedal mechanism from dirt, water and trail debris for consistently smooth, dependable performance. The PD-M8220 is compatible with existing Shimano SPD cleats and can also be paired with Shimano’s trail and enduro-specific CL-MT001 cleats for easier engagement.
