Fox SKF Low Friction Dust Wiper Seals are engineered to deliver smooth suspension performance, dependable sealing and improved durability in demanding off-road conditions. Developed using SKF’s extensive experience in high-performance motorcycle and bicycle suspension seals, each kit is designed specifically for compatible Fox forks.

The integrated sealing design combines an oil-retaining lip with an external dust-wiping lip. This helps prevent lubricant from escaping while limiting the entry of water, mud and abrasive contaminants into the fork lowers.

A specially developed, self-lubricating elastomer maintains low and consistent friction throughout the seal’s service life. By reducing stiction between the seals and upper tubes, the fork can respond more freely to small impacts and track the ground more effectively, improving sensitivity, traction and overall riding comfort.

Improved Sealing and Suspension Performance

Mountain bike fork seals must balance two competing requirements: they need to keep contaminants outside the fork without generating excessive friction against the moving upper tubes.

SKF’s application-specific seal geometry provides effective protection from water and dirt while maintaining low, consistent operating friction. This allows the fork to move more readily through the beginning of its travel and helps keep the internal lubrication oil cleaner between services.

Installation

These seals are intended for installation during a lower-leg service. Correct fitting requires the fork lowers to be removed and the seals installed using an appropriately sized driver.

Always use the suspension fluid type and bath-oil volume specified for the exact fork model. Fox recommends that suspension servicing be completed by a suitably trained bicycle technician.
